We can’t decide which we’re more fond of: the Josh Moulton Gallery or Josh himself! I commissioned a painting for my husband a few years ago and I absolutely love how it turned out (as did my husband). And Josh was an absolute pleasure to work with. More recently we purchased a framed print as a “moving away” gift and the recipients love it so much, they now have it prominently displayed above their mantle. There are also nicely framed prints of the orginal paintings that are quite afforable. When I walk into someone’s home it is nice to see orginal artwork as I believe the work helps to reflect the owner’s view of the world through art. We have had multiple excellent experiences with Josh and his gallery. First we purchased a print for our friends who are moving away from Chicago- and they loved it! We also purchased a number of prints for our home which we get lots of compliments on and no one can ever believe they are paintings and not photographs because they are so good. But best of all, we asked Josh to do a painting of our home and despite the fact that we were very picky and had a number of specific requests about the painting, Josh nailed them all and the finished product is perfect- even better than we were hoping for! We love it and it is something our family will have forever. In all of our dealings with him, Josh has been extremely responsive and very timely.

One day my wife and I walked past Josh Moulton’s gallery, and we were impressed with the quality of work in the window. We went inside to be further impressed with his many paintings on display. Originally I found Josh’s work by chance 8 years ago and decided to buy two of his prints. Because I liked the prints so much, I called Josh about a year later and asked if would do a painting of my daughter. We spent a morning taking pictures and then finalized the one he was to paint. He told me how his passion for art came from his father and I continued to learn about what was ART to him. I first got exposed to Josh’s paintings through his website and was impressed by the quality of the work shown on it so I decided to visit the gallery in person with my father a few days later. The experience was truly incredible, as you can immediately tell that Josh is very passionate about his job and his pieces. My attention that day was drawn by a beautiful painting of the Chicago & State intersection which, ironically enough, has a special meaning to me. We decided to buy it on the spot, and Josh was kind enough to offer to hang it in person.
